The Forest AND The Trees

The Forest AND The Trees

Isn’t it beautiful?  I will admit that I was scared of the park when I first got here.  On my very first day, after retrieving me from the airport, mum tried to take me here for a walkie and I was completely, overwhelmingly not ready.  I was terrified of the great outdoors.  Didn’t trust it one iota.

But now we go walking here almost every day, and I’m learning a lot about myself.  As I’m coming out of my shell, I’ve discovered the joys of jumping up and letting passing joggers know that I’m here (mum says that we’re working on this – so THAT’S what all of the treats and waiting until they run by is all about), running at full speed in streams created by the recent rains (uphill, preferably), and finding new places to wee and poop.  Another thing that I was afraid of, but that Schenley Park (and that oh-so-great passing pug, Marcus) has taught me about.

I don’t get to be out of mum’s hands much, but for this photo op I was willing to behave.  Twas worth it, methinks.

Love,

Otto Fizz
